Stay & Play

Our recent Currant Bun Stay and Play event was a delightful morning filled with fun, creativity, and family bonding, leaving everyone with smiles and cherished memories.

A Warm Welcome to Families Old and New

The Currant Bun Stay and Play event began with a warm welcome to both the parents of our current students and new families. It was lovely to see familiar faces and meet new ones, all gathering together to share in the morning's activities.

Our community spirit shone brightly as parents and children mingled, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the event.

Singing Nursery Rhymes

The morning kicked off with a lively session of singing to popular nursery rhymes. The children eagerly participated singing along with enthusiasm. Parents joined in too, making it a fun and interactive experience for everyone.

Creative Fun with Chocolate Muffin Decorating

One of the highlights of the morning was the chocolate muffin decorating activity. Each child had the opportunity to decorate their own 'currant bun' with icing and cherries.

It was wonderful to see the creativity flow as children designed their unique muffins, and parents helped them with the finer details. The end results were as delightful to look at as they were to eat!

Unleashing Imagination with Colouring Activities

The colouring station was another favourite amongst the children. Equipped with a variety of colouring sheets and an array of crayons and markers, the kids let their imaginations run wild.

From vibrant rainbows to imaginative creatures, the artwork produced was impressive. It was a peaceful and creative outlet that allowed the children to express themselves freely.

Hands-On Play with ‘Currant Bun’ Play Dough

The 'currant bun' play dough activity provided a tactile and sensory experience for the children. They enjoyed moulding and shaping the dough into different forms, enhancing their fine motor skills in the process.

Parents and children worked together, creating all sorts of imaginative shapes and figures. It was a hands-on activity that encouraged creativity and collaboration, rounding off a fantastic morning of fun and learning.

Save the date - our next Stay and Play will be held on Friday 24th January 2025!
